This API provides access to information about elected officials and electoral districts in Canada. Users can find representatives based on postal codes or geographical coordinates, retrieve boundary sets, and explore details about elections and candidates.
Build a "Who represents me?" widget, map local electoral districts, or power civic outreach emails with contact details. You can query by postal code or latitude/longitude and get representatives, office contacts, party info, and boundary shapes you can draw on a map. The API is free to use with no signup and supports bulk downloads of shapefiles for offline projects. Note there is a modest rate limit (60 requests/min) and postal-code lookups can be less precise than lat/lon.
