What really sets this site apart from all other API lists is that each API endpoint is tested once every 24 hours by our friendly robots to make sure it works. When our robots find an API that no longer works because it was taken down or moved behind a paywall, it will start ranking poorly and eventually be removed from the site.
The following metrics combine to form an overall API health score, between 0 and 100, helping you to identify the best-performing APIs and endpoints for your next project.
The goal of this website is to provide students of the University of Applied Sciences in Grisons (Switzerland), with an up-to-date list of free APIs for their programming-projects. The website was made out of necessity by me, Nick Schneeberger, because me and Benjamin Hanimann had to check and refresh the list manually every semester. Now my robots do it for us, which is nice.
What still has to be done by hand is finding fun and free APIs online and adding them to the list. This has mainly been done by Benjamin and me, but everyone is welcome to contribute.
So if you know a cool API from your city, country or company, feel free to add it here.
Also, developing and running this project costs time and money. If you like it, consider buying me a coffee.
