Free Elevation API

Description

This API provides access to elevation data for any point on Earth without any cost. Users can retrieve elevation information by making GET requests with latitude and longitude parameters.

What can you use it for?

Build elevation-aware features like hiking elevation profiles, altitude lookups in a map app, or basic flood-risk checks. You can request single coordinates or submit batches to get elevations in meters from the Copernicus DEM. The free service needs no key and lets you test with a 10 requests/second limit; commercial plans add unlimited queries and SLA. It's a simple REST endpoint that returns either a plain number or JSON, so you can plug it into maps or analytics quickly.
