Description

The Bacon Ipsum JSON API is a REST interface for generating meaty lorem ipsum text that can be utilized by any application. Users can specify parameters such as type of text, number of paragraphs, and format to get tailored responses.

What can you use it for?

Try it to fill UI mockups, seed test data, or add playful placeholder copy to docs and demos. You can request one or more paragraphs or a fixed number of sentences, and choose pure meat words or a meat-and-filler mix. Responses come as JSON by default, or as plain text or HTML if you prefer. There’s no signup or API key required, so you can call it directly from scripts and prototypes.
